About the owners:

Mike Morissette and his wife Sandra are originally from Boston, Massachusetts and are both alumni of the University of Vermont.  Prior to starting Wooden Thumb, LLC,  Mike worked for over 15 years in the manufacturing industry.  He has held positions at both the management and “hands-on” technical levels. Throughout his career he has had a continued dedication to quality, customer satisfaction and work ethic, as well as a passion for working with his hands.

More importantly, Mike has extensive personal experience in home repair.  He comes from a family that believes in the concept of "do-it yourself."  As a result, from a fairly young age he was taught the basics of woodworking, painting, plumbing and electrical systems, etc. and put those skills to use renovating not only his home, but those of his family and friends. 

Over the years, he has seemingly done it all: from remodeling bathrooms, painting, woodwork, tiling, performing plumbing and electrical repairs and upgrades, to installing appliances.
 

Mike, Sandra, and their two young children reside in Waco, Tx.
